Comparison of charging procedure for spongy, elongated and spherical dust by numerical simulation in drifting plasma

Charging procedure of insulated spongy, elongated and spherical dust grains being charged by plasma flows are studied based on two dimensional PIC code. By treating ions and electrons as individual particles with a desired distribution function, charge and potential distribution on the surface of three different kinds of dust grains are investigated self consistently and compared with each other.
