Particle in Cell Solver using Galerkin Discontinous Method

In the last decade, the development of Galerkin Discontinuous numerical method for linear hyperbolic system has been successfully applied to build accurate time Maxwell solver. The ability of GD to deal with unstructured methods combined to high accuracy is an attractive solution to the development of PIC solver. Fast GD solver has been recently developed at ONERA.
Here, we discuss the advantages of such method to build a PIC/GD solver.
