Relativistic three-dimensional hybrid code using an exponential integrator

In order to allow for the simulation of highly overdense plasmas, we have implemented a hybrid fluid-PIC code based on the PIC code VLPL and utilizing an exponential integrator. Properties of this numerical method as well as extensions to the hybrid model are discussed. Furthermore, we will present first simulation results of this program using a newly developed DirectX-based interactive 3D visualization software.
