In this paper, Simulation of Vlasov code based on characteristic methods is implemented on GPUs. Particularly, Vlasov codes tend to become high memory consuming and computationally demanding because of the high dimensionality of phase space. Since Vlasov solvers require efficient algorithms and parallel computing for simulation of many plasma physics phenomena. In this paper, we present a characteristic Vlasov code that runs entirely on a single GPU. Results of simulation show that GPUs became low-cost alternative for distributed memory parallel clusters.
